About

tim pettry picture (2)Values Stream Alignment was born out of my desire to share my thoughts on linking Organizational Development tools with Lean Principles.  In a value stream, waste is identified where products or information stop flowing.  The same concept applies to Organizational Values.  Where values are not shared or aligned, and stop flowing,  you will find waste.

I currently work at the Cleveland Clinic as a Program Director, Continuous Improvement. The views expressed here are my own.

Prior to transitioning to Healthcare in 2008, I spent eighteen years at the Ford Motor Company in various positions including Cost Analyst, Training Coordinator, Production Supervisor, Ford Production System Coordinator, and Organizational Development Manager at the Cleveland Manufacturing Site and as a Ford Production System Coach in the Powertrain Operations Division.

I am a member of the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence’s Board of Examiners and have served as a lead examiner since 2003.

I served as member of the AME/ASQ/Shingo Prize/SME Lean Certification Oversight and Appeals Committee from 2008-2013, having served as the Chairman of the committee in 2010.

My wife, Lisa and I have been married since 1983.  We have 5 children and  6 terrific grandchildren.

I look forward to the exchange of ideas and continuous learning.
